Tulip Festival Flowers

The flowers this year were spectacular. I could have spent 5 hours photographing them, but then I would have frozen to death. It was just two degrees F above freezing.

Nice set Bob.

I would have thought this kind of photography is quite challenging when the weather is cold.

You have no idea Phil how funny your statement is. Yesterday, when these shot were taken, there were two of us out there waiting for the sun to rise. My comrad had the sense to put on gloves where I had left mine on the front seat of my car. Even blowing warm air on them couldn't warm them up. Add to the fact that my tripod is a large aluminum variety and touching that cold metal was literally painful. At least I wasn't grovelling around in the mud on my belly as I did the other day with the Daffodil photo at home. I'm willing to grovel to get these sorts of shots.
