A Walk In The Park

Ok, here's my first posted photo with my new D7000 and the 18-200mm VRII lens. I saw the sun come out in my back yard and simply grabbed the camera. It's a quiet camera with a great frame rate. It took me a while to get everything set up the way I like it. The 39 focal points is a vast improvement over the D90's 11. Plenty of control there. I hope Adobe gets its act in gear and puts out a new camera raw converter for the D7000 soon. It's set up to be an automatic update when it's sent my way so I'll see it starting. Hope you enjoy my first attempt.

I certainly trusted the camera on this exposure. I programmed the camera to show blinkies. I dialed in about 3.0 F-Stops compensation to maintain detail in the sky. The resulting color saturation in the leaves is cool.

I've not heard the expression 'blinkies' before. Is that where the screen flashes bits that are over-exposed?

You are absolutely correct. "Blinkies" can display either over or under exposed areas that have lost all detail.
