Re: Copyright infringement.

Basically I saw an advert for a litter of pups and a picture underneath the advert, was a pencil drawing of one of my photographs!

Turns out it was an artists website and she had been commisioned to draw the dog by her "owners" I traced the "owner" via the artist who had profitted from my picture without permission (and without knowledge it turns out) and the man that "owned" the dog denied the picture was not his TWICE! Later he admitted it.

Long story short, the guy wanted to settle out of court and I did. The artist, although not aware the dog didnt belong to guy who comissioned the piece, was in the dark and had no idea he had taken the picture from somewhere without permission! I agreed with her that she should remove all items relating to my picture from her site, and cease any sales forthwith. I asked my solicitor for advice and we agreed a reasonable sum, which was accepted by both parties.

I have spoken to her again this evening and she has agreed to send me a couple of the prints and some of the cards, which I will donate to Border Terrier welfare, so they can raffle them or something.
