Well, I'm guessing from your location that we're not that far apart, so avoiding elephant poo is something we should both undertake Actually it only has 2 wings, so it is a hoverfly. Although it was about as long as my thumb from knuckle to fingertip, so a bit of a bruiser anyway

Nicely done.

I think I prefer the slightly deeper depth of focus in the second.
