Whats the cheapest (but not junk that does'nt work) home studio lighting kit you can buy?

Or is it possible to make a D.I.Y studio with lights from B&Q etc...? its more for learning the ropes than anything

Re: beginners lighting.

Saz your too close to the backdrop bud and make sure your subject is darker (lighting wise) than your backdrop

Stu, how cheap do you want to go??

Re: beginners lighting.

the cheaper the better i have no idea what the minimum you need is...
I wouldnt really want to spend over £50 on a DIY setup... Maybe £100-150 for a basic real setup? Is that realistic?

I have a 9 man tent i could use the poles from to make a backdrop frame... although they'd probably bend Wooden curtain poles maybe? I could get some cheap reflectors and go to the local fabric warehouse for a background...

I guess i'd need to find out what power/watts i need from a bulb...
