I'm not sure which is best - to just keep exploring or to focus on one aspect and get good at that.
Keeping up with my 52 is certainly a good starting goal.
I'd also like to get some more good pictures of the kids in our hallway so that I can hang a collection of portraits up in there.
Just general stuff, but C&C your own work. We can't have perfect masterpieces every time, but if you can see your own faults and start to recognise what's wrong or particularly whats not quite right and what you will look out for next time then you are on the right road. Some people don't have that ability, the eye for a good picture. Keep blasting away with a camera and think theirs looks as good as anyone elses. If you think you may have a preference developing then it will come naturally I'm sure.

Re: Your Personal Goals

To try and use more of the functions on the camera. I got out of using auto very quickly (I tend to use S,A or sunset) I have also fiddled with the ISO and exposure values. BUT.....it has so many more that I keep getting wrong...(WB for eg!)

I am going to go out today and try changing the creative style (Standard/Vivid/Portrait/Sunset/Landscape/Adobe RGB)

Thought i might try the dogs moving in Vivid and see what happens....
