Dennis II
I'm starting to get a little tired of shooting snowboarding after a long season now, so I'm trying to get better at portraits. I'm at my friend Dennis' place for a few days just chilling out, and we had a little shoot in his backyard.
I really want to start getting in to shooting bands and artists and stuff like that, so I guess I’m trying to find my style for that kind of shoots here.
Nikon D700 with Sigma 24-70 f/2.8
Elinchrom Ranger to my right and two Vivitar 285's to the left to give some rim on those dark jeans.

I really like this, though the white of his shirt is a tad overblown, and I'm not sure about the background, I like it, but the taller trees distract a bit. Equally, I'm not too sure about the hedge in the background being picked out on the one side, I'd prefer to see it dark on both sides, or light on both sides, if you get me. Probably better dark though.
I love the colour though, and that it's a very relaxed looking portrait. Well done!

Don't know if it is me or if I am tired but in this and the other shot the subject seems to be ejected from the surroundings, sounds daft I know but he seems to be sort of floating.
