Re: Joby Gorillapod slr zoom

Looks OK for lightweight gear, dont think i would trust it with my kit. Depends on what you want to photograph, may be good for macro but dont feel it would support my 40D and Sigma 150mm macro lens, i will be interested in any response, the price is certainly good.

Re: Joby Gorillapod slr zoom

I've used one a few times. They're very popular and that particular model should easily support your gear without any problems providing it's balanced right.
Kit 1
Canon 1D Mark 3
Canon EF 17-40mm f/4 L USM
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM
Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
Kit 2
1D2 & 40D

Cheers Phil I'm ordering mine tomorrow I can see me getting a lot of use out of it especially as I'm going for the zoom model with the ball head deal £49.99 all in from Amazon don't think it's to bad for what it can do, I have the camlink Pro tripod but it's a bit on the heavy side for carrying around in my opinion.
