Re: Sigma 50-500mm

I have read the replies and note the limitaions, ie weight etc and think I would go for a secondhand one and see how I get on. I bought a wireless remote shutter release which came yesterday and on first play seems ok, certainly got a lot closer to the birds on the feeders so that solves one issue.
I note that there are a few sigma on ebay (used) but they are not reaching their reserved price so I guess they are looking for about £400 which is still a lot to pay out after only having spent all the money a month ago on the Canon!!

Re: Sigma 50-500mm

The Bigma is a fantastic lens, when you know its limitations. I'm really happy with it, provided you're patient and careful you can get some superb shots with it!
