Nikon 35mm F/1.8 G AF-S DX Lens

I've no Nikon body at the moment however this lens caught my eye.............

It's for APS-C (not full frame) cameras but that's most of us I guess.

35mm is certainly a handy focal length most folk use but unlike the standard zooms that cover say 18-55mm with f3.5-5.6 the f1.8 aperture allows creative depth of field not to mention the wider aperture (faster) advantages.

There's no VR on the lens but it has a built in motor so will AF on D40 etc.

At £199 I thought it worthy of mention.
Kit 1

Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
Kit 2
1D2 & 40D

I don't look at such sites these days BC - I'm far too weak

Somebody I know has one and was singing it's praises so I looked it up during one of those 'where's daddy gone' moments at the supermarket magazine section

I saw some pics with this lens yesterday, looks a very nice lens

I love my 35mm, it's a great walk around lens.
