Has anybody hired a lens?

There was a thread about this a while back but I couldn't find it.

I'm considering hiring a lens later in the year for a week away. This company seems quite resonable:

just wondered if anybody had any experience of them or any others worth considering ?

Thanks

Re: Has anybody hired a lens?

Lenses for hire are good and the prices are ok, BUT you must also allow for their delivery and collection etc.. I used The Flash Centre, Im close enugh to collect which dropped the price way down below lenses for hire, but you may not have that option.

Re: Has anybody hired a lens?

I did look at the postage details on that site because of where I live:

Up to 1.0 kg £9.00
1.0 to 2.0 kg £9.00
2.0 to 5.0 kg £9.00
5.0 to 10.0 kg £11.00
10.0 to 15.0 kg £13.50
Over 15.0 kg £16.50

You don't need a deposit or insurance but should I decide to cover myself - insurance works out at:

50p per £100 of value per week which is pretty good.

Re: Has anybody hired a lens?

Does that include sending it back, or do you have to pay that twice?
