What's the quickest way / first stage - I can see image info ?

Hi

Quick question - hope there's an easy answer......

After taking photographs - I connect the camera to the PC and just select 'my computer' and copy the files over.

Once copied over - I'll look through them on the PC & decide which to keep. Those I decide to keep I might adjust in P'shop prior to uploading to Flickr where I can obviously then look at the exif data.

I know I can see it on the camera but what I want to know is whether I can quickly see basic info like aperture / shutter speed / ISO etc (viewed larger on the PC) prior to keeping or deleting.

I'm asking because I think I'd find it handy to quickly see the difference in settings between those I want to keep and the rubbish I delete.

Any suggestions welcome.

I use - KUSO exif viewer- it has more info than others, plenty of sites in google to download from. This below is from one of my pictures to give some idea including shutter count. This is before any PP done, and the full info by ticking the box in Kuso. Even tells which lens used and the serial number of your camera.

Ah but that is just the basics info as you say, I prefer to have all of it. All I do when Kuso downloaded is right click over picture and select Kuso from the drop down list, and its just as quick.

Re: What's the quickest way / first stage - I can see image info ?

If you've got Photoshop Phil I assume you have Bridge. Bridge is more than just a viewer, it allows you to mark "keeper" and batch delete the ones you don't want to keep. It allows you to left click on a file, tap the space bar & view the shot full screen. It also has a panel on the right of the screen with the complete camera data you seek. If you don't wish to use Bridge there's a free software program called Iexif you can download from www.download.com, CNET's safe software site.
