A few days on Skye

A few images from our second trip to the Isle of Skye and north west highlands to shoot Sea Eagles and landscapes. The weather was great on Skye for the two days we spent there but turned quite dull at Torridon.

1)This is Loch Doich from the Dornie hills looking over to the 5 sisters of Kintail

2)Sea Eagle on the coast of Portree

3)Loch Doich from the Dornie hills again

4)Castle Menzies near Aberfeldy on the way back home

5)Red Squirrel

6)Neist point on Skye

7)Glen brittle. We had just finished our trek up to the Fairy pools before coming here but not much water in the pools and no Fairies either

8)Two stitched shot of the Cuillins from Glen brittle

9)White tailed Sea Eagle again

10)Somewhere before Kintail

Re: A few days on Skye

Great stuff DJ

Did you go on Brigadoon for the Sea Eagles ?

I think I know exactly where you took the Loch Duich shots - I was up there not that long ago however the weather was giving me a battering. I took two shots and gave up opting to play with Hannah and her kite instead !

No Phil, we went on the MV Stardust from Portree.

Yes it looks the same spot. Pity about the weather when you were there as it's such lovely spot to shoot from, and of course there are other spots to shoot Eilean Donan, from a little further down the hill.

Re: A few days on Skye

2 and 7 are wonderful - especially 7!

Never get that close to the Killarney eagles - they are but mere dots in the sky!
