Re: Mac or PC?

Well....

I work with Windows PC all day every day since Win 3.1, but recently I've gone iMac at home.

Reason being, I'm fed-up with the way Windows gets slower and more bloated as goes along.

Love it, now I've got used to it.

Re: Mac or PC?

Started with a PC many moons ago, it was less costly than a Mac and there was a wider range of software available. Contrary to what a lot of Mac users would have you believe, the system is not without problems.

I use Windows 7 which is better than any of the previous versions I have used. It is faster and more stable. However, in order to stay out of trouble you should run behind a firewall, have good antivirus/malware protection and, ideally, clear out all your junk and other unnecessary files on a daily basis. This will prevent the system slowing down and maintain peak efficiency.

I use windows, I wanted to turn to the dark side this year but after spending so much money on Photoshop and others I'm finding it hard to get it past my other half! lol also a long chat with my cousin who designs 3d models, and uses both Mac and PC I've come to the decision I don't really need to go Mac!

Re: Mac or PC?

Geeeeez that was tough to answer Azz. You know I just got a new iMac and am still learning how to use it. I still have my powerful PC so I selected that as my main computer. It won't be long before I change that to the iMac. I am waiting for a Mac version of Lightroom 3 for my Mac offered for $99 directly from Adobe. That's $200 off the normal price.

Don't ever try a Mac, you'd hate it! ROFL My first PC was an IBM PC with two 5.25 floppy drives, an 8086 processor & a whopping 256K of RAM. No Hard drive. an RGB monitor with an Epson FX100 dot matrix printer. It all ran on Microsoft DOS 1.0 $4800

Undecided at the moment

I don't get the website not responding message with the mac but don't really have any software for it yet to compare it to windows. It does run brilliantly with the iphone though
