Ring Pier

Well, here are a load of shots from Ring when we went there the other day with Camera Club. Was a lovely evening out - and I had a play around with all sorts of settings etc, to see what effects I could achieve. These images are basically out of camera, as I wanted to see what I could achieve that way. They are for critique, but I know people don't like to critique lots of images, so put them in Showcase - as in any case, I'm really happy with them. If you can see how to improve them do say - as I'm not great with landscapes, and I do enjoy shooting them I know what I like, but for some reaason seem unable to carry it through into a photograph I take myself!

Re: Ring Pier

LOVE the last two....3 and 4 and 5 are a little bit too dark for my liking, could be my dodgy office monitor though as it does tend to show things a bit on the dark side.

Re: Ring Pier

Thanks all - Nic they are rather dark, which was the intention at the time Not sure if they'd be different on your laptop though - it's so hard to tell! What's dark to you may be too light to me and vice versa! Would be interested to see what you think when you see them at home!

Also, I think nothing really works as well to show a photo than a good print - so may get these printed and see what camera club people think too - as they were there at the time!
