Re: Autumn Colour Portrait

Jols I don't think much if any PP work was done xxx
Just a good lens and good use of flash, plus the colours all compliment each other.
I may be completely wrong, but I don't see much PP on this. xxx

Re: Autumn Colour Portrait

Not alot was done to it Jols. I changed the colour output of the camera (hence the vibrancy) in Nikon capture and added the blue sky in pp as it was a tad dull outside and the sky was that horrid grey.

But im happy to post it up once im in my office

Apart from the sky I like the original better his skin looks more natural.

He is a good looking chap.

Re: Autumn Colour Portrait

Thanks

I think skin is down to personal preference. I like mine to look warmer as it gives off a nice healthy glow

Re: Autumn Colour Portrait

I agree it is preference and it would not be any good if we all liked the same stuff.

Are you keeping busy with portraits?

This is a busy time for me doing all those 'christmas present' portraits and I always give a free 10 x 8 with every booking completed by the end of november. [people always like something for nothing so to speak lol]

I also have two weddings in NOVEMBER so its a bit crazy at the mo.

Hope your diary is full too.

Re: Autumn Colour Portrait

Alas no. Im not been able to do much lately. Between decorating my office and the kids rooms, two driving lessons a week, clearing the flat and changing rooms about, putting up sheds hubby doing more hours downstairs and tax returns iv not had the time.!! LOL TBH i also have my birthday coming up and we may be going away! Also my flash has been at the repairs and i only got it back yesterday i am hoping for a back up one for my birthday though! (sb800)

I have another doggy session booked in though so that should be interesting. oh and iv also sent out a number of letters over the past week to various photographers to see if they need a second shooter!

Re: Autumn Colour Portrait

See nothing wrong in amending a shot post camera, it has always been thus.

Having said the above I prefer the more muted tones but as you say it is personal taste. Have to say the child's skin looks correct in both it must just be the sky that makes the first shot look hard.
