Red Arrows

Just messing around and thought I'd review my shots of the Red Arrows in Abu Dhabi. Was on the beach sea front close to the emirates Palace hotel. Spectacular show, seemed to be at a lower altitude than I've seen them in the UK. Was with a group of friends from various parts of the world and had to say felt proud to be British. Everyone was impressed. I did post one of these pics before. Comments welcome but pics here more for interest than holding them up as works of art!

Re: Red Arrows

It's always a pleasure to watch the Reds do their stuff. Every May they come out here to Cyprus to do their new season routine warm ups in beautiful blue skies such as the ones shown in your great pictures. They also fly much lower and it's possible to get shots from above as they screech below the cliffs at RAF Akrotiri - I will post a few when I get back home to Cyprus for you.

Great love heart capture - I didnt know you cared!

As an aside, I had a friend who proposed to his now wife during a Reds display.... he waited until they did their love heart in the sky, dropped to his knee, whipping out a ring, pointed to the sky and said...."That was especially for you, will you marry me".

I dont think she is any the wiser now!
