It's a very old thread BC

I brought it back for Zoundz (I picked the wrong one) as I had a conversation last night about Hannah getting a rat.

Re: All the Bongo Fury Rats

Phil, I think I would love if Hannah had rats off us, as I know we'd have regular updates, and I could trust you (though of course, as always application would be neccessary!). But whatever the case, I am so glad you may have decided to add rats to your life - because if ever there was a pet *made* for younger children (especially girls) it's rats! However, obviously, if you wanted rats from more locally (which would be better for the rats - though they travel well) then that I would totally understand. Feel free to PM me. I do know a few Scottish breeders - and although I could tell you who I *think* are the better breeders, I cannot vouch for any as such, because I've no dealings with any of them at all. There is one I can vouch for, sort of, but I don't like giving details out online - I'll PM you about that if you ask for it? And obv. I am a bit of a voucher for myself! :P Sad yes - but I do think that some people are the sort of owners that us rat breeders have always dreamed of owning our babies - and I have to say Phil, you have been one of our 'owners' for years! You've always come across as such a conscientious owner of your other pets, I would personally love to have you as one of our owners [/gush]

Seriously though, the rats do benefit from a closer breeder, and I will endeavour to put you in touch with the best I know of.

xx

ETA - sorry if this makesh no shenshe! I may have been drinking champagne and wine all night, and listening to poetry and blues... IE. I'm not entirely sober/with it! ;D

Re: All the Bongo Fury Rats

Karl just read a quote from Hermann Hesse - now I wouldn't normally post - but OMG!!!

"The moment we talk about it, the simplest thing becomes complex and incomprehensible."

Laugh? I nearly died!

Thanks for the reply.

Ann who I mentioned last night (the lady who died) had rats and contacts - one of which (Janet) I know quite well. She is involved in rescue and breeding although I admit to knowing nothing about it.

Hannah has been 'online' and already tells me that we must have two and the differences between male and female rats.

I'll just read up on the quiet and be in touch

Re: All the Bongo Fury Rats

You sound as drunk as me (re. last sentence! - though that could be me too drunk to read it!!!! Rofl!)

Well yes, Hannah is right - two are a must! As I say I am more than happy to chat at length on e-mail or MSN about this - any questions at all - I am available any time of day or night - by phone if you have a rat that needs help!

Re: All the Bongo Fury Rats

Drunk - I wish..........

Hannah is up (in tears) with a molar tooth which is just about out but she wont let me pull it out.

Karen is up because of Hannah making a fuss and I suspect Fiona will be awake shortly if the noise continues.

PS

LOL - This has just come on the telly..........

The Rats (2001)
Premiere. A secret DNA experiment creates ferocious genetically mutated rats that carry a horrific disease. The carnivorous rodents are soon on the loose in New York, taking over a department store and spreading across the city. A pest exterminator is hired to deal with the massive infestation - but faces interference from the rats' creators. Horror, starring Madchen Amick, Vincent Spano, Daveigh Chase and Shawn Michael Howard

Re: All the Bongo Fury Rats

Oh no - horrible evening you're having by the sounds of it - we are drunkenly sorting the lots for the charity auction - which is nearly as bad as pulling teeth!

Drop me a line if you do need any advice, the last thi9ng you want/need is pregnant females to deal with!!!
