Re: A few old bangers

Excellent collection of cars with nice processing too. The focus on the vehicles looks spot on whilst throwing out the background by using a wide aperture. The stately home looks great as a background too. I like the second one the best in that it is isolated, with the home behind and consequently it doesn't tell us it is at a car show. The others tell us that is the event you are at (unavoidably) and consequently you have done your best to control the environment you are in. Nice job.

Just out of interest, bit of a brain storm here... does a polariser work to take the majority of refections off the paintwork on the cars? I am thinking of the first. Great car, most unusual, shame about so many reflections (obviously a great polishing job!). I know polarisers take refections off non metalic surfaces, water, glass, but just wondering if it would help with that paintwork? Should know the answer to this but really can't be decide!

Lovely pictures, well taken
The Bristol Teardrop, is spectacular, and the aubergine colour is soooo nice.
Oh, to own one of those babies, especially the Ferrari F40, fantastic.

As always BC thanks for your very thorough and detailed CC I do appreciate it. I did try a polariser once but found it sometime accentuated other things or looked odd, I think the camera needs to be tripod mounted so you can do multiple exposures with CPL filter and layer them to get the desired effect. Something I will try at some stage.
