Big Trees
I was just looking at a post by Stormey involving a large log pile. I was reminded of a visit I made to the Avenue Of Giants last year in Fortuna, California. I've never seen such huge ancient trees in all my life. Some are big enough to drive through with a bus. I captured this photo of my friend and traveling partner, Warren, standing in front of a single tree nearly 1,000 years old. It was taken with my trusty pocket Nikon L12 digital. I really need to return with my Nikon D40X for another try at capturing the splendor of these giants. I wonder what sort of lens I'd need to capture an entire tree? LOL
