Re: ID challenge just for fun :o)

I have these nifty catch sticks - basicaly a pole with metal "jaws" on one end and a handle with a trigger to clamp the jaws on the other. They don't hurt the snake and you can grab them and lift them up. I put them into a plastic cooler-box and transport then 10 of 15 minutes from the camp and let them go. The pole is nice and long (1.2m) so you can stay out of range if you catch the critter near the head. (Out of range of bites, not spitting - the spitting cobras will still get you, but the venow is only harmful if it gets in your eyes or mouth. It's a good idea to have a good wash afterwards. The other day I rubbed my eye hours after removing one of the little sods. It started burning like mad immediately - I must have had a tiny bit of venom on my hands or around my eye - lesson effectively learnt!)
