Re: A view from the dinning room window

What a lovely view it is too

Nice shot Ken, and I can see the horizon will give you trouble in this image as there's 3 to deal with... I've edited this one to the front one - as it's the largest of the 3. What do you think? (If you want me to take the image down just say.)

To do this in photoshop:
  • Cick on Apple R to get the rule
  • then drag from the horizontal rule at the top to where you want the straight line to appear (in this case the top of the lawn at the front)
  • Then Apple A to select all
  • Then Apple T to 'transform'
  • Then drag one of the corners at the bottom to straighten the image
  • Then go into the crop tool
  • Apple A to select all
  • Hold down shift and bring each of the corners in to crop the unwanted bits
Kit 1
Nikon D300
Nikon 55-200mm VR
Kit 2
Nikon D40
Nikon 18-55mm
My Compact/P&S: Panasonic Lumix TZ7

What a view! Is that Stowe Park?

It's a really lovely shot, great symmetry xx

I thought the Corinthian Arch was out by a degree or so, thanks for correcting it

Well spotted, yes it is. It's great place for photography and walks around the lakes in the summer evenings.

Here's a shot of the water fountain early one morning when the low sun was shining on the water droplets making them look like jewels:

Re: A view from the dinning room window

I recognised the Corinthian Arch straightaway I grew up fairly close to Stowe.
It is a beautiful park, just stunning views, in the most gorgeous part of England(slightly biased)

The fountain image is lovely too
