weddings-set price or packages

I would like to do one set price for my weddings.

Do you think this would be a wise move or do people expect to be able to pick from different packages.?

Re: weddings-set price or packages

I personally think packages work best but i guess it also depends on what your charging and what is inc in your set price

Re: weddings-set price or packages

I have not really sat down and worked out a price yet.

but looking at my package prices it could be something like this.

24 10 x8 photos in an album

plus a 26 page photo book [with approx 70 pics in]

all photos chosen by me

500 pound

feedback please

Re: weddings-set price or packages

I dont think you choosing the pics would work its not something id be happy with

The package seems pretty good though. Also what would you be shooting? From getting ready - first dance??

Re: weddings-set price or packages

ok I produce say 70 to 100 proofs .

They pick the final 24 and the 70 for the photo book.

I meet groom at church and do the whole church stuff then go to reception and do 'fake' cutting of the cake.
I leave before the meal starts

getting ready would be extra 100 pound and I dont do first dance.

Re: weddings-set price or packages

Erm its hard to say really - as going from personal experiance and talking to other brides through forum - the best way to go always seems to be packages. There is always something more or less that the couple want or dont want included, then you will have to start adjusting prices - then the pricing becomes less clear cut as it first seemed

Whats the photobook BTW?

Re: weddings-set price or packages

A photobook is photos printed on the page of the book. It is not a photo stuck on a page.

It is like a glossy book.

I am not very good at explaining it.

Thanks for the feedback

Re: weddings-set price or packages

Most of my weddings I have done so far want them as well.

I suppose they are something a bit different and some couples have given them to their parents as gifts.

Re: weddings-set price or packages

hmmm. Not having a pop, but dont see the point in packaging together. Maybe offer it as an extra???
