Question for Dejavu.
Ello!
The Canon software you spoke of, is that the one that came with the 40d? I have never installed any of the software that has come with any camera. With a poke in the back, I am going to try RAW, my basic program doesnt do RAW and I have PS CS, but apart from opening it, I am completely stumped!
I know you need specific RAW converting software and that one does it? Is it easy to use? Should I dig it out and install it?

If you are working with RAW files, you might want to look at Adobe Lightroom:

I haven't really used it much myself as I've only just got into photography... but it offers a lot more for RAW editing than PS alone.

I use Aperture on the Mac. exactly the same as Lightroom really.

...and I use Lightbox, which is the Sony equivalent to Lightroom.

Thanks. Ill have to ask my bro in law if he has anything like that, he gave me the PS and has the Vista ultimate I still havent installed!
