Re: Babyface (rat)

Can't see the pic?!?

If you have a few of different focus points, combine em in the 'shop and will have the dof increased.

Re: Babyface (rat)

I don't know why you can't see it Ste? :/ I can, but maybe when you posted the site was down briefly or something?

I could do the combined focus thing, but I rather like having shallow DOF on everything, still not gotten over the novelty of that yet, I love it! <3

Re: Babyface (rat)

Can see it on my phone but not comp, weird!

Love it! Looks like a dandelion clock. I love narrow dof as well, more than most people's taste! Didn't mean to offend you about the focus stacking, was just because you mentioned the other shots with the eye in.

Re: Babyface (rat)

Thanks Musky!

Ste - you didn't offend at all! I agree, focus stacking is definitely something I could try, and it's something I definitely want to do for some of my bug macros, as they need it - but I do love shallow DOF, again, more than most people! I posted a pic of a jumping spider recently, and the DOF was stupidly shallow, but I love that <3

Have you any tips for focus stacking?

Re: Babyface (rat)

Z... I've been trying to get a pic of the gerbil... blinking thing wont keep still. Even when I give her her favourite treats I can't get it to focus

Re: Babyface (rat)

Ah see - I'm well practiced! I've often meant to do lessons in this... maybe an online video lesson or something? Though I'd freak about speaking on camera!
