Storm cloud over the Norfolk broads.

Hope i've done this right??.
Here are a couple of views looking across the Norfolk Broads from the Old Roman Fort @ Burgh Castle Nr Great Yarmouth. Of a massive thick storm cloud that seemed to nearly touch the ground .
Regards Adam..

Re: Storm cloud over the Norfolk broads.

Hi Adam and welcome to the group.
As you welcome edits and comments in the second picture you have lightened up the whole picture and its a different shot. I think the first picture needed the lower half lightened slightly leaving the clouds alone.

Something like this, that is if you wanted to see the landscape better.

Re: Storm cloud over the Norfolk broads.

I love clouds. This is a grand set of clouds you've captured. The key to good editing or post processing is "don't overdo it". I've taken the liberty to edit that second photo balancing the top and bottom exposures a bit and eliminating the dark place in the field on your left as it was a distraction. I used layer copies and a screen blend mode, masking the darker sky.

Re: Storm cloud over the Norfolk broads.

Hi Adam,
really like your second image, love the cloud formation, very impressive. As your new, if you don't want people editing your work, just uncheck the edit box, in your personal info section, I think it's on as a default.

Welcome to Yo xx

Re: Storm cloud over the Norfolk broads.

Adam

One thing you will find on this site is if you ask for help/ideas someone will answer if they can. What I would say is that on occasion there is disagreement over a picture as everyone has their own ideas.
It can get shall we say "exciting", but you will find, despite this, everyone is friendly
and usually agree to disagree over an issue.

So ask away about anything, be it about equipment or photos or how to do something, hopefully you will be able to add your input as well. So enjoy being an active member of the group.
