Thanks eileen. Googled digitalis and foxglove. They look like the same flower to me.

3 Ragwort (well, that is what it looks like to me, would be easier to ID if you had a stem and leaf pic, though I know you weren't photographing for ID, so I'll let you off
)
4 Foxglove
I like all 4, but the thistle is my fave, so no 2 for me You also managed to capture several noxious plants, some thistle's are poisonous, ragwort is very bad news for grazing animals especially horses, and foxglove, can be lethal.

, Eileen was giving you both of it's names, digitalis purpurea is the "proper" name for the Common Foxglove.

Thanks moon. I know foxgloves are bad news if eaten, didn't have a clue about ragwort.
