This is a really nice start Sarah. The most important thing i feel in pet/portrait photography is capturing their personality. You have done well

OK no problem here, a nice set of shots of your family and pets. First comment to help or may be scare you, not I don't think you will be scared. When taking dogs bend down to their level, ignore the nose and focus on the eye. I like the shot of Pia very much it is very pleasing but if you had bent down a bit it would have been a cracker.
