One thing to note about raw vs jpeg, is raw is just that - the raw camera data without any processing done by the camera, eg colour adjustment.

Raw does mean you have extra control over the image, but you have to work from 'scratch.
The jpg version will have a lot of the hard work done for you - especially if you have changed settings like 'vivid colour' etc
