Edge loss in high street stores tip

Professional photographic high street stores have a tendency to loose some of the edging to a photo. I would suggest that the photo subject matter allows for this trimming by making sure that any edge loss is not going to ruin the photo. Why it happens I don't know but its worth bearing in mind.
