Didn't mean to start a debate in your thread PD - sorry!
I'm personally not keen on any type of lead that performs a 'choking' action on a dog, esp if the dog has a high prey drive (in which case the choking will have little or no effect apart from potentially harming the dog - you often see dogs pulling like mad even with a 'choke chain' on).
If a corrective collar must be used, I'd prefer to use something like the canny collar, or any other collar/lead that disrupts the dogs vision (by moving their head, i.e downwards with the canny collar) on pulling, training by aversion instead of pain.
