External Hard Drive Question
I've just added an external 500Gb hard drive to my PC and moved all my pics onto it off to free up the PC.
What I wasn't sure of was ....Do I turn it off when i'm not uploading from it / writing to it or do i leave it on all the time.
I only ask as it's really really hot.

You should _never_ put electrical equipment in closed compartments - they could catch fire 
I would only turn it on when needed - just make sure you unmount it before switiching off.

the tower and the external drive are on the left behind the door - it is only partly enclosed at the back though.[IMG]
