Adding a border with PS6

Sticking a border round the edge makes such a difference to the shot....but I have NO idea how to go about it.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: Adding a border with PS6

I will be interested in this - as currently I add borders in PSP - I find PS hard to use... and I can't figure out borders!

Re: Adding a border with PS6

There is probably a quicker and more effective way that will achieve better results, but I use the “increase canvas size” function (this is on Ps CS3 - not sure how different that it to Ps6?!)
I go Image > Canvas Size, add the amount I want to change the image width and height, select the colour of the border and click OK. This can obviously be done several times to the image to create different effects. I know that there are much more sophisticated ways of creating frames on CS3, but I haven’t got around to looking for them yet! Any tips would also be greatly appreciated by me!
