@ phil - i've never insure anything in my life but just insured my car lastweek coz im always saying i've not got much money now i wish i listen to everyone and insure!

@ sturobinson - now you must ALWAYS listen to jols !lol seriously you must insure it coz it such a horrible feeling watching my camera falling in such a slow motion and BANG!!! i`ve always been a very carefull person sadly but acciddent do happens

@ jol - i rememer havng that conversation and now i feel about that big!!! looking at the insurance sites now to insure everything else but the camera

I feel for you ...my 400d had to go to hospital for 3 weeks but at least I had the 350 in reserve

Claire, shoot it over to Jessops. They will be able to see if its the cam or lens. I honestly think it will be the lens that is damaged. Bodies are pretty robust. I have dropped my D50 on a concrete floor before now and its been fine!They are designed to take in some shock.

lol my replacement is a film camera nikon F55! great camera but it not the same coz i like to see the result straight away !

Is it less than a year or two old?

I thought Nikon extended their warranty to two years?

Just say it stopped working if so?
