Re: Lights??????

I thought it would be a good set for me to have, okay I might take some time getting to grips with it but, I will have it for keeps so I can get better

I have bought a reflector that is double sided one side gold th eother silver, and ordered a light tent from Ebay, I did have one, but it met an accident with some blackcurrant squash (thanks kids)

Re: Lights??????

Looks like a set of good value, I can offer no help never bought lighting for a stills camera, some 40 years ago bought lamps for film and video work and they cost a fortune, mind you so did the cameras then.

Just bought a light tent from Argos with two small lamps included and will be interested in your forthcomming purchase.

Re: Lights??????

I found a link on a lighting website, as I am fairly clueless with lighting, so want to learn more, and it took me to the website. The whole site looks good value TBH, if you bought it all seperately it would be a lot more, I think, so once it is back in stock and I am sure I can afford it, I am fairly certain this is the set I will get.

If you get it before me, can you let me know what it's like please.

Here is the lighting site, I found the link somewhere in here I am officially becoming a geek , I have all these photography web links in my faves now

Ooo I cheat with backdrops so far, I bought some cheap sheets in a sale, clothes pegs, and sort of hang them up with the pegs

Re: Lights??????

I use the bowens light kit and love it, if you are using studio lighting you'll probably best getting hold of a light meter too.

The best way to learn how to use them is practice practice practice! Play about with them until you find a technique that gives you the results you want. There are plenty of videos on how to use them and the basic equipment you will need...

and a good video on posing techniques once you have set up your lights
