Hmm, I'm not keen, it sort of takes away from the purpose imho. Would actually look ok if the colour of the dog popped out at you though, as the title says it all !

Personally I think you are 75% there.
To me the vignetting is a bit too strong and should be feathered and faded some more.

I think it has a very 40s look to it, and I like it a lot - but you're right, wrong photo. Try again with just a landscape or an old car/person in costume etc

A good setting needed to pull this one off Jols, image too modern to give it an oldy feely look. But as i have said a million times before, you have to try these things 99% of images make not work but you will always get that 1% which will end up as a cracking image
