Re: Swanning Around

That's a bit different... not sure it's for me, but I can see what you were aiming for! The feather detail is great, but not sure about the black around the Swan... especially at the breast area - seems a bit... chopped? Not sure if that makes sense?

Re: Swanning Around

The idea is good Snaps - just the harsh edges on PP let it down. Otherwise nice stuff!

Re: Swanning Around

I think the effect of the white swan gliding accross the 'black' is a really neat idea and as others have said it's just the post processing that falls a bit short.

That said - you've had to recreate the breast of the swan as it was chopped off the original so that was always going to be a tough one to get spot on.

I do like the idea of the amended image so think I will try again and improve the added area - as you can see from the original it was almost B&W anyway. If I do it again do you think I should leave the colour in the birds beak, will have to clean up & lighten the plumage on the neck as that would spoil the effect.

Thank you for your help

Re: Swanning Around

OK, hoping you're not all going swan crazy your opinion please on my latest efforts. Not sure about the ahem, breast size, prefer a B cup myself but perhaps the D is nearer the norm. Now I have uploaded it I see the B cup still has a ragged bit,(loosing the will to live now so will give up)

Re: Swanning Around

Would have been better if the dam thing had not insisted in swimming under the platform just as I had him/her as I wanted it, but with the Dcup under the platform and out of my reach I had no choice but to take the shot I had planned and try to may good the swans lack of compliance.
