Re: Light and Shade

Thanks all.
I took this shot back in 2008, in a corral in Scottsdale Arizona. I was wandering around looking for new angles and viewpoints, having already taken a lot of action shots at the reining horse competition. I love horses and noticed the subtle light cascading in through the corral gate, highlighting the horse's tail and hooves. When i saw the results on my computer i was convinced that this was one of the best photographs i had ever taken. However when i showed it to others it did not get a reaction, so i started to question whether it really was any good. I have left it to languish on my hard disc until now. I posted it on YoPhotographer to see if any of my peers saw what i saw, or conversely, if it was really not that good after all. I guess we all have photos like that, where we are thrilled with a shot but others fail to see "it" ?
thanks again for your feedback

Re: Light and Shade

The only thing i can offer as a suggestion is the dark top left tends to puill my eye a bit.

Overall its a well seen image, not sure if anything could be done, or if others would see the dark area as a problem.

regards brian.

Yes i see what you mean Mossy, just a bit worried about blowing the highlights. Does this look better?
