Evergreen Space Museum

I shot all these photos at ISO 1000 so I know there is grain in them but I wanted to shoot available light to see how my new lens would perform handheld at slow shutter speeds. The VRII technology did great since I got down to as alow as 1/25th of a second at 200mm.

This museum is beautifully maintained. Known for its main attraction, The Spruce Goose, it has literally hundreds of planes, helicopters and jets. There are at least 4 huge hanger buildings on the facility including one that displays a jumbo jet on top of the roof. It's all very impressive.

#4 - Suspended Aircraft hang everywhere

#5 - Luxurious Buildings

#6 - Missle Displays

#7 - Vintage Vehicle Shine

Re: Evergreen Space Museum

Looks an interesting place, love the first Bi Plane and the old mail truck. Going to the Space Centre here soon, must not embarrass myself by repeatedly saying "houston,we have a problem"

I did I did! LOL I'm an Air Force veteran as well as a former McDonnell Douglas Aircraft employee for 13 years. Talking to the old veteran volunteers was a hoot. They were shocked at how much detail I knew about the planes.

Me too.

It looks like a full scale version of my bedroom when I was kid.

Spruce Goose - I think - still the biggest wingspan and tallest plane ever built and to think it's made of wood !!

Some great shots there Bob.
