Re: Would you copy right?

Well Ill be honest Im sick of people stealing my pictures.

1. Rare and beautiful chocolate British Shorthair kittens from excellent stock. Then a picture of MY CAT!!!

2. A "commissioned" graphite image of "Rosie" a recently deceased dog owned by so and so, captured by her owner, it was MY Breeze!!!!

3. Border Terrier stud dog, excellent breeding £200, MY DOG!

4.Border Terrier puppies, KC registered, £450, a pic of MY DOG!!!!

5. "Original" watercolour of 2 Foxhounds, for sale on Ebay at £90 with prints at £20, MY PICTURE!!

So many more, its so annoying to say the least. Some of them have had the copyright mark removed when used too!

Re: Would you copy right?

omg dawn thats awful

i am going to copyright my dogs pictures (watermark them) as i do not want anyone using them - whether they are 'really good' or not.... they really are mine.

your pics are stunning dawn.... but you would think that others could take their own

You can embed a watermark but its only useful if they print the image and to be honest if it were for their use only you wouldnt know. Likewise if they wanted to sell images they would see the mark on printing, but you would be none the wiser.

Its very easy to remove a copyright from most images, most are on the bottom/top etc. and can be easily cloned out, of course if its right across the image then they cant, but it ruins the picture and you want people to see your work not big letters through the middle of it.
