Re: Portrait tips

Mossy, I really hope that you make the commitment to go to the shoot. Even if you're the model for a moment. This way you'll be in the position of knowing exactly how to position your model. I am excited for you and I can't wait to see the photos.

Good luck and have fun!!

Thank you Mary, just going will give me sleepless nights, im much happier in a wood or on a deserted beach. However there is no way i will inflict my image on the public, the risk to camera equipment will be too much.

Re: Portrait tips

Well i thought i would update, the event was held last night, a members niece acted as the model, and a simple 2 light system was used. For myself its not something i will repeat, i just could not get involved and my half hearted attempts did nothing to inspire me.

Not helped by one of the lenses misting up on the inside, so no pics to show all went into the bin, i will stick to the great outdoors from now on.

Re: Portrait tips

At least you try mossy. If you don't give it a go, you'll never know.

Re: Portrait tips

Thanks Z and Sky, i should have went with my gut feeling, i do not like my own photo being taken so that may explain my reluctance to point a camera at another person.
