Lensbaby? Who has one?

Anyone using a Lensbaby besides Moonie? If so which version do you have and what do you think? Anyone else have an opinion on them?

I am tempted to get one although I am wondering if the pictures tend to look very 'samey' and a bit cliche'? I guess you have to just use them in a different way. Are they very fiddly to use?

Re: Lensbaby? Who has one?

I have one [an old model] and to be honest I have not used it much, but saying that I do love the effect.

I will put it on my list of things to do.

As for the ease of use bit fiddley to start with but becomes easier.

Go on spoil yourself.

Re: Lensbaby? Who has one?

Well I pondered over the Composer version for ages at a 2nd hand dealer such that after several weeks it was sold! I had other priorities and wasn't sure. I've started doing a bit of work now and was thinking it might be useful and creative (when my creativity isn't being dampened by my day job!!)... The Composer is one of the dearer versions... wasn't a clear cut 'I want it' like I am with some things...

Would love to have a play with one though.

Re: Lensbaby? Who has one?

They are fun and my version was about £60 a couple of years ago.

Don't know about the prices of new ones for certain cameras.

Re: Lensbaby? Who has one?

I think you said it in your post Jols, 'I have not used it much', sort of get the impression it's a gimmick for a bit and then it sits in the drawer! the secondhand 'Composer' would have been about £145 delivered which wasn't just pocket change.
