Yes - He's been doing it for a while.
There was an article in the Sunday Times (I think) a while ago about his photography - he got a bit of stick because he got a lot of coverage and access to the 'stars' because of who he was.

Well - it's the same with fashion - most of the best fashion photographers were models originally - use who and what you know! I have no problem with people using their contacts!
I do love those shots though, will have to look other stuff of his up!

Yeah, I do love his fashion work, he also has Zoo magazine. He's quite edgy and sexy in his work, I like it.

He does take it very seriously, seem to recall reading about him 3 or 4 years ago... does have access to many top names, but no good if you don't do justice to the shots to make them look right. Would be harder in fact... but i did notice from Mark Cleghorn the other day, you have so much more flexibility if you have a studio and various lights and backdrops...it's all so controllable.

I really like the ones in the link! It's very much my sort of thing! I also found a link to some of his stuff of a lady suffering from cancer, who'd undergone very heavy radiation and chemo therapies. So sensitively done, and very tasteful - it actually made me well up a bit. Some of his stuff is very reminiscent of other photographers I adore such as August Sander.

ETA - that Ben Kingsley gallery just makes me all goosepimpley - I love his work! I also love that he keeps the EXIF data in Not that it helps as I couldn't afford his equipment if I sold my soul to the devil! Having said that I'm quite chuffed to see that I was nearly right in the equipment I thought he was using.
