No Azz, cows are one of the most curious creatures, which is often the reason people get trampled because the cows are curious particularly if you have a dog with you.
Zounds I like this, did you use a fish eye or have you tried to get that effect PP whatever it makes for an interesting shot.

Heheh! They wouldn't leave me alone! Kept coming over and watching me and following me along the fence as I was taking photos 
I took it at 18mm, so not a fisheye, no, however, adding the vignetting seems to have heightened the effect!

I'm sure there's a cow group on Yop.
I've taken lots of cow pictures and they're pretty inquisitive animals - more than happy to crowd around you. Unfortunately we have highland cattle round here and whilst they're great subjects they can be a tad pushy especially if they've young with them.
There's usually one brave one who they all follow and I've figured out that if I give that one a quick dig the rest all run off too.
