Funny thing today!
Well I thought it was. I went into the cafe and got a coffee at the wildlife park today and there was a guy in there messing with his camera and cursing away!! I heard him say to his wife (I assume) "bloody Nikon, I told you I should of bought a 5D instead, stick to what you know" Well I just had to sit down and have a good listen then didnt I. 
He got very shirty as the camera wouldnt even come on, he put a different lens on, but nothing happened when he switched it on again. I asked him if I could help, and he said he's only bought the camera yesterday and the "damn thing" was a waste of time, it was a D300. He handed it to me, and I had a quick look at it, I then said "did you charge the battery fully when you got it?" "Yes of course I did" he said, then I said "you should of put it back in the camera then!!!!!" Couldnt help myself I was rolling on the floor, his wife was sooooooooo annoyed she stormed out! I reckon his Nikon was just fine, its the owner Id be concerned about!!!!

I've been a maintenance tech for 40 years. Can't count the number of times something wasn't turned on or unplugged. Had a contractor shut down a reservoir using the depth control instrument AC outlet for his transistor radio.
