Soft Blue Sky & Cliffs

I captured this photo on my 400 ride down the Columbia River Gorge today. It was overcast the first part of the ride but cleared up nicely for these shots.

I'm editing this post & mentioning all these photos were taken with my Nikon D40X with the 18-55 Nikon zoom & a Quanteray circular polarizer. Thanks Jack

Re: Soft Blue Sky & Cliffs

I like this one Bob - makes me want to get my climbing boots on !

I love the sky and the picture has a wide angle feel to it.

The grass / mountain scrub is turning that colour here in the highlands just now.

Re: Soft Blue Sky & Cliffs

Bob I really envy you when I see shots like this! It must be wonderful to be able to drive along highways that take you through amazing scenery, where you can just stop and take shots like these

Re: Soft Blue Sky & Cliffs

I love the contrast between natural and man-made in your first photo bob - great subject.

Great naturally saturated colours too. It looks like big sky country out there.

Tags: when you are making a post there is a little entry box where you click on the kit you used to take the photo with, and any other detail which would be useful to the viewer.

Thanks for the tag info Jack. I would have thought that info would be present in the photo's metadata.

Re: Soft Blue Sky & Cliffs

It generally is Bob - but its easy to remove metadata, and sometime its not captured in a reproduced photo on the 'tinternet. Also metadata will tell you the range, aperture, Speed, etc... but not the Lens make.
