British Grand Prix

I didn't take the right camera or lens with as I didn't want to cart to much stuff about or upset anyone in the stand with a huge lens as I was certain it would be packed.

Here are a few from the stand where I was seated:

Button:

Alonso:

Buemi:

Re: British Grand Prix

Nicely done Ken - looks like the 70-200 was just the trick.

Missed the whole Grand Prix today - shame about the result though.

PS

Just stayed up to watch the highlights - what's happened to the circuit layout ?

It's barely recognisable to the Silverstone I knew as a kid ??

Thanks Phil, I took the 70-200L as I had a good idea I would be sat in with the crowds so thought better not upset anyones views with the large 300L. But after a bit of cropping it worked out OK

The track is awful for photography unless you have media accreditation, which I don't, so I always struggle to get good shots from this track.

Thanks for the link, I've down loaded that drawing of the track

Re: British Grand Prix

Great shots Ken. I didn't see all of the race. What I did see was strange, half the track dry, half soaking wet.

Re: British Grand Prix

Great stuff, especially like the shots of Masa and Alonso ,it's one of my fave GP's. Growing up nearby, we often went. My brothers were sending me pics yesterday, just to rub it in

Me to Suzi, I can remember when Silverstone was little more than an Aerodrome, my Dad used to race motorbikes then.
