Monitors

Getting my new IPS monitor tomorrow. This is for a new computer next month

Its a" Dell UltraSharp U2312HM 23" Inch IPS LED Full HD 1920x1080 Monitor"

Which should help tremendously with seeing pictures properly leading to better editing hopefully. Got fed up with trying to adjust to the right angle to view.

Out of interest which monitors do other members use? my current monitors are both Samsung ,one is the SyncMaster BX2250 and the other on the backup computer is the Samsung T220HD

Ok why such a large screen? answer is to be able to spot where picture corrections can be made without resorting to "zooming " in.

Youtube example

Yes I might go blind looking at such a large screen, but what a way to go.

Re: Monitors

I just have either the laptop, a dell. Or a proview monitor which is years old but ok for me. It was bought for work rather than photos though.

Re: Monitors

I could have a better monitor, but it could be a lot worse too. Had it a long time, it's an AGM thing - would like to upgrade it but can't afford to this century!

Re: Monitors

Just got the monitor this morning and checked it out. All I can say is it looks as if I am going to have to review all my photos. Everything is so much clearer and the colours really stand out.

Re: Monitors

Same picture completely unedited on both computers, but its easy to see which is the new monitor the colours really stand out. Yes I know it can also depend on the graphics cards but this is just to give some idea of the difference

Please ignore them being a bit blurred
