Wild Orchids
For a while i was photographing wild Orchids in Northumberland, i was surprised by the range of these unusual plants.
Birds Nest Orchid.
Bee Orchid.
Lesser butterfly Orchid.
Common spotted Orchid.
Common Twayblade.

Lovely set - my father in law owns a fair bit of land around the Ben Lawers / Loch Tay area of Scotland on which there a quite a lot of protected Orchids.

Phil they are protected here also ,they have fields with high wire fences so you cant get at them but they have walkways on stilts that go into the middle for viewing
