My favorite Alligator

He is about 7 foot long, a big one! WHen I pull up beside his pond he jumped into the water and swam rapidly over to see me...so fast that I took that last picture and backed out onto the road! In my reveiw mirror I saw he came right out of the water and was looking for me. I am positive someone has been feeding him..that is not legal and sure not safe! I never feed him but do enjoy watching him....carefully!
Ther is quite a lot of brush and tall grass at the edge of the pond that has left shadows in front of the gator..but I kind of like that as it shows him the way I see him. Shirley

Re: My favorite Alligator

Thats one thing i loved about FLA, all the Alligators roaming around Going through Seminole on the air boats, lots of them there, just a shame i had such a poor quality camera when we went there, lots of the images did not come out well.
Nice capture Shirley

Re: My favorite Alligator

I like the first a lot - I like that he's behind grasses, it gives an almost voyeuristic feel. I think I've discovered your problem with the noise - if you're using a compact camera, and you're going into your digital zoom? It can make images look very noisy afterwards. Try to keep only to your optical zoom if you can - perhaps even crop a bit closer
